The workshop is intended for preschool age children and students in the lower grades of elementary school
This workshop is designed to nurture in a creative way the material heritage, specifically the ancient craft of weaving. Children first learn about the meaning of wool and sheep farming, then learn about the process of making woolen cloth, from shearing sheep, and washing and combing the wool, to winding it on a spindle. After that, they are divided into three groups, one of which weaves on a children’s loom, while the second weaves from paper, and the third makes a woven ornament.
