I feel like wearing green
The workshop is intended for preschool age children and students in the lower grades of elementary school
The topic of this educational workshop is frogs and their conservation. Today, there are about 5,450 species of frogs living in the world, and according to the IUCN, as many as 32.5% of them are endangered, while only in the last decade 165 species of frogs have become extinct. At the workshop, children learn about the life cycle of frogs, and they will also learn about the main reasons for their endangerment: loss of habitat, pollution, and climate change.
The workshop is designed as a PowerPoint presentation in which children learn about the life of our little green friends through stories and illustrations. This is followed by a game or rather a quiz: children have fun jumping from water lily to water lily while the educators ask them questions. In this way, thee children remember the most interesting facts about frogs. The game is followed by making interesting frog masks, which the smallest children particularly enjoy.
Approximate duration of the workshop: 45 – 60 minutes
Recommended number of students in the group: 25
