3R - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
The workshop is intended for children of preschool age and students in the lower grades of elementary school
The workshop begins with an introductory section in which the terminology of sorting and recycling waste is discussed. After a short waste sorting game, the participants of the workshop are divided into three workstations, the first of which makes beads from shiny newsprint paper (e.g. from magazines), which are arranged into bracelets and necklaces, the second group makes large rose flowers from PVC bags, which can be worn as a decoration on an item of clothing or a handbag, as a bracelet, etc., while the third group recycles matte newsprint paper (e.g. classic newspapers) by adding different harmless colors in a household blender, from which they then create and paint drawings and various decorative shapes.
The objects made will represent a lasting memory for the children of the “3R” workshop and the time spent socialising with the educators of the Krka National Park.
Approximate duration of the workshop: 45 – 60 minutes
Recommended number of students in the group: 25
