Alongside protecting and promoting the values of the park, one of the fundamental determinants of the Public Institute of Krka National Park is education.

We need to raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection among our youngest generations, as they are the best promoters of positive ecological messages in their environment. Educational programmes include numerous lectures, ecological workshops, field courses and sports activities and they have been adapted, both in terms of content and methods, to various ages of children. The topics of our educational programmes are related to biological diversity and nature protection. The educational programme is carried out by the staff of the Public Institute of Krka National Park in agreement with teachers and professors. All our programmes are held year round, either outdoors in Krka National Park, or in the branch offices of the Public Institute of Krka National Park. The recommended group size for workshops is 25 children. These workshops are organised in advance, and usually last 1 hour. Groups visiting Krka National Park with a guide can have a maximum of 50 children. Any cancellations should be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time; otherwise, the full price of the reserved service will be charged.
